The app supports both ebooks and audiobooks in 26 different formats, such as ePUB, mobi, PDF, RTF, text, HTML, MP3, and M4B.


Google offers a vast repository of ebooks via Google Books. There's the Google Books search engine and Google Play Books store. Both services let you save copies of books to read them offline, making downloading books pretty easy. All you need to do is follow these steps.


When you click on the link, you'll receive an additional prompt to confirm your decision. Select Read, and the book will become available in the My Books section of the Google Play Store. To download it, click on the three dots on the listing and select Download PDF or Download EPUB (depending on availability).

Just like the official website, users can view and purchase books that can be saved to their desktop computer or stored in the cloud.


You can either install FBReader from the Mac App Store or download the package from this site. The versions are slightly different: the App Store variant scratches out ebook purchases as the Apple guidelines require.


FBReader works on all devices with iOS 9.3 and higher. In the free version, the library size is limited to ten books, and online translators are disabled. You can upgrade to the full version for a fee.
